Sammy Hagar and The Circle recorded their Lockdown 2020 album last year and they covered The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."
It appears Sammy had forgotten another performance of that song with Van Halen which was recorded at the 5150 studio.
Hagar wrote on his Van Hagar Other Half Instagram and Facebook page, saying, "I had actually forgotten about us doing this for some kind of live satellite broadcast ... maybe to Japan??? Whatever it was, it rocks!”
He added, "Eddie nailing that synthesizer part and the guitar part all on guitar... and I think Keith Moon would approve of that drum fill. And I think I still have a reoccurring head rash from that scream..."
And Michael Anthony said, "I remember when we decided to shoot this video live in the studio, I was really excited, seeing as John Entwistle was one of my favorite bass players growing up!”
Van Halen also included the The Who classic on their first concert album, Live: Right Here, Right Now.
