Eric Clapton has just released a new song, which clearly indicates his frustration with Covid vaccine mandates and initiatives. The rock ‘n roll legend is also lashing out at politicians, technology and speaking out on environmental issues.
In the new song "This Has Gotta Stop" Clapton sings the line, "Enough is enough, I can't take this BS any longer / It's gone far enough, you wanna claim my soul, you'll have to come break down this door."
Clapton has been outspoken about the push for vaccinations after his bad reaction. He says,
"I believe most of all in free speech and freedom of movement and life and love and kindness. And, with all of this exposure to the polarization of the politics and the medicine and the science, I found it very difficult to be neutral because I've seen scorn and content from both sides and I get caught in the crossfire a lot. But I don't really feel educated enough to know enough about either of these areas. So, I'm talking today on behalf of people like me who may be lost, may be need to hear someone talk about it from a human point of view without condemnation."
Clapton has also been vocal about lockdowns with regards to performing. Clapton is refusing to play venues in England that require vaccination. He’s also done two “anti-lockdown” songs with Van Morrison – “Stand and Deliver” and “The Rebels.”
