Elton John has done it again. The music icon’s latest single “Cold Heart” with Dua Lipa has just given Elton his first #1 hit in the U.K. in 16 years.
The single just became Elton John’s eighth #1 hit. His most recent trip up the chart in the U.K. was back in 2005 when he was featured on the posthumous 2Pac song “Ghetto Gospel.”
“Cold Heart” dislodged Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” from the top spot after four weeks, and, Sheeran said he actually wanted that to happen, encouraging his fans to buy, stream and download the Elton song to get it to number one.
“Cold Heart” is featured on Elton’s all-new upcoming album ‘The Lockdown Sessions,’ which will be released on Friday.
