An acetate recording that David Bowie made back in 1965 as a member of the Lower Third will go up on the auction block on Thursday in England. Back then, Bowie was using his real name, David Jones.
“I Want Your Love” was produced by Shel Talmy, who was known for his work with The Kinks and The Who. The disc is estimated to sell for somewhere between $10,500 and $16,000. The buyer will not acquire the rights to the recording or its publishing.
The auction will take place at The-Saleroom.com.
