Keith Richards is teaming with his solo band The Xpensive Winos for the first time in almost 30 years for a benefit concert.
Richards will headline the sixth annual Love Rocks NYC on March 10th at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Proceeds will benefit Gods Love We Deliver. Richards will be joined by drummer Steve Jordan, who replaced the late Charlie Watts on the most recent Rolling Stones tour, guitarist Waddy Wachtel and keyboardist Ivan Neville. The show will happen one week before Richards reissues his second solo album recorded with the X-Pensive Winos, Main Offender.
Other artists appearing at the show include Melissa Etheridge, Warren Haynes, Hozier, Mavis Staples and David Shaw of The Revivalists.
Will The Rolling Stones ever tour again? Keith Richards hinted at that as the most recent Rolling Stones tour ended. Keith said, "Thank you so much for sticking with us. It was a great tour. We had immense fun and really looking forward to doing it again. And I wish you all the best."
