Dolly Parton has withdrawn her name from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot. The music legend wrote on social media, "Even though I'm extremely flattered and grateful, I don't feel that I've earned that right. I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I respectfully bow out."
Dolly added that she hopes to make a rock album and be reconsidered one day. The other females on this year's ballot are Pat Benatar, Carly Simon, Dionne Warwick, Kate Bush and Annie Lennox as part of the Eurythmics.
Inductees will be announced in May and the induction ceremony will happen this fall, most likely in New York City.
