Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell is out on a solo tour with his band The Dirty Knobs but he’s not forgetting his past with the late Tom Petty.
Campbell does perform several Petty and the Heartbreakers classics at his concerts, including stripped down versions of “Refugee,” “Southern Accents” and “You Got Lucky.”
Prior to performing “Refugee” earlier this week, Campbell said, “This song was written so long ago and is so poignant to me.” He added, “It ties into everything going on in the world right now. We’d like to do this for you, and Ukraine, and for my lost brother Tom, who wrote this with me.”
