Gene Simmons has announced a partnership with Gibson for a new line of G² Thunderbird Bass guitars.
Simmons said, “Gibson is an outstanding company and has earned its place as a leading guitar brand with fans around the world. The new G² Thunderbird basses are all handmade in the U.S.A., with a sound that is off the charts. The design is so beautiful and collectible, they are simply works of art.”
The guitars will be available across all Gibson Brands, which will include Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer, Simmons has also put together a commercial as a parody of the old "As Seen on TV" spots showing off the benefit a bass for a scrawny male teenager.
Simmons also has a line of how own Axe and Punisher basses which is separate from his deal with Gibson.
