Dolly Parton would love to work with The Rolling Stones

Dolly Parton is headed in to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The newest member of the Rock Hall says she is seriously considering making a rock album, and she'd like to have Mick Jagger and other classic rock acts be part of it.

She told Billboard, "I’ve always wanted to do the song 'Satisfaction.' That’s one of my husband’s favorite songs. And I may have to drag Mick’s guys up there to help me sing it."

Dolly is also a fan of Def Leppard. "I thought about writing a song called 'Rock of Ages,' where I get all the great old rock ‘n’ rollers, the people that I have always admired and respected.

She added, "I didn’t follow rock music that much, but my husband is a rock ‘n’ roll freak. He loves all the groups and all the great stuff. I just liked certain records. I may do up a version of something like 'Free Bird' and do my own versions of some classic things that I think would make good rock ‘n’ roll songs."

Dolly’s fans will recall that back in 2002 she recorded a bluegrass version of Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven" for her Halos & Horns album.

She got approval for her version of the rock classic from Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
