Pat Benatar is finally going into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with her husband and musical partner Neil Giraldo. Pat has lobbied for 25 years to get Neil equal billing, and was adamant that if they ever were to be inducted, they had to go in together.
Pat talked about why her husband should also be inducted in to the Rock Hall. She said, "He was looking for a singer just to play with and get all these ideas that he had -- he wanted to be arranging and doing all these things -- and I was looking for the partner -- a muse and a person to do this with together. I wasn't interested in doing this by myself. I wanted to have the same relationship that, you know, Robert Plant had with Jimmy Page. That's what I wanted. And we just came together and everything from that moment on, it began to roll. It just rolled and it was right."
Pat and Neil, also Duran Duran, Judas Priest, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, Eminem, Carly Simon and the Eurythmics, will be inducted into the Hall of November 5th in Los Angeles.
