Elton John is set to participate in the upcoming musical based on the book and movie ‘The Devil Wears Prada.’ The music legend is thrilled to write music for the show.
Sir Elton said, “It's one of my favorite films and the subject matter in the film screams out for music, as well," he tells “People.” "But I just thought, 'You have to have characters that you can write [songs] for, and you have to have a backdrop which can inspire you musically,' and the film does."
The musical will open July 19th in Chicago and run through August 21st. Elton gave ‘People’ magazine a preview of several songs from the show, including "Dress Your Way Up," "When a Legend Is Born" and, "The Devil Wears Prada."
Elton described the music as “modern” noting about the show, He added, "Everyone involved so far has been so enthusiastic, and it's been a dream," adding, audiences will, "walk out elated."
