A 1965 Volkswagen Camper Van fully outfitted with The Who's iconic logo along with images of the legendary band has gone up for auction.
The so-called “Magic Bus,” which was fully restored and customized, was raffled off back in 2008 to raise funds for Roger Daltrey's charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust. Over the last decade it has been touring the U.K. and appearing at classic car shows and raising money for the charity.
The “Magic Bus” is now up for auction with a large portion from the sale going to Teenage Cancer Trust.
With the roof painted with Great Britain’s Union Jack flag, the "Magic Bus" contains red, white and blue upholstery and has a fold-down double bed and plenty of storage space. The two sun visors in the van have been signed by Daltrey and Pete Townshend, while Richard Evans, The Who’s art director and designer of the "Magic Bus," signed the interior.
The “Magic Bus” is estimated to sell for between $72- and $95,000. It will go up for auction at Silverstone Auctions on August 27th.
