U2’s Bono is set to release his new memoir ‘Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story’ on November 1st, and the legendary vocalist has shared a new excerpt with his fans.
Bono shared the excerpt in honor of his and wife Ali’s 40th anniversary on Wednesday. Bono recalled the song “Come On Eileen” by Dexy’s Midnight Runners playing on the radio at his father's home the morning the couple got married.
In addition to the excerpt, Bono shared several illustrations with his fans. The ‘Surrender’ memoir will feature Bono recounting his life growing up in Dublin, Ireland, along with his humanitarian work and more revelations about his life.
Each chapter of the 40 in the memoir will be named after a different U2 song. There will also be personal drawings included that Bono created specifically for the book.
