Cyndi Lauper took to social media this week to celebrate National Voter Registration Day and urge women to get out and vote.
From a female point of view, she said she wanted "show the country that the suits in Washington do not have the power to shape our democracy. We do."
Cyndi took to Instagram and posted a picture of herself in a pink pantsuit and wrote, , "Head to the link in bio to learn more, register to vote, or check your voter registration status. Because voting suits our futures. Voting suits our communities." She also added the hashtag VotingSuitsYou.
On Facebook and Twitter, Lauper urged her fans to "join WhenWeAllVote for National Voter Registration by checking your voter registration status and texting 3 friends to do the same."
