The Beach Boys are releasing a new box set. Carl and the Passions – “So Tough” from 1972 and ‘Holland’ from 1973 will make up the ‘Sail on Sailor - 1972’ multi-disc and digital box set that make up their transformative 1972 era.
The six-CD Super Deluxe Edition will be released on November 18th and features newly remastered versions of both albums along Brian Wilson's Mount Vernon and Fairway (A Fairytale) EP (complete with its original instructions to “please listen in the dark”). It also features an unreleased live concert from New York's Carnegie Hall on Thanksgiving 1972. This will be the first-ever release of a complete Beach Boys concert from this era with the original set list.
The box set also includes unreleased outtakes, additional live recordings, radio promos, alternate versions, alternate mixes, isolated backing tracks and a cappella versions from those album sessions.
