The Police classic “Every Breath You Take” was everywhere in 1983. The song spent 8 weeks at #1 that summer and has become the group’s biggest hit. The video for the song has just joined YouTube’s ‘Billion Views’ club.
Originally released as the first single from the band’s 'Synchronicity' album, the Sting-written ballad eventually became The Police’s only #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Grammy’s for song of the year and best pop performance by a duo or group with vocal.
According to YouTube, the video still logs nearly 300,000 views a day in 2022.
