Celine Dion is opening up to fans about her recent health struggles. The superstar revealed in an emotional Instagram video that she has been diagnosed with a rare neurological condition known as stiff-person syndrome.
Celine was forced to cancel shows this year due to "severe and persistent muscle spasms." She is still not ready to perform yet. Celine told her fans "I've been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it's been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I've been going through." She continued, "Unfortunately, the spasms affect every aspect of my daily life. Sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal chords to sing the way I'm used to. It hurts me to tell you today, this means, that I won't be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February."
Celine has said she is working with her doctors and a sports medicine therapist to build her strength back.She acknowledged, "it's been a struggle."
