Pat Benatar has gone on record saying the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame officials have no sense of humor.
When she delivered her induction speech back on November 5th in Los Angeles, Pat started it off by saying, “I want to say that all is forgiven.” The Rock Hall folks edited that out for the HBO broadcast two weeks later.
When it was mentioned in an interview with Vulture.com, Benatar laughed and said, “Cowards! I was being a smart ---. They made me wait 20 years.”
They also cut “All Fired Up,” Pat’s first song following her speech. The Rock Hall has not yet commented on the matter.
