Steven Tyler hits a momentous milestone

Steven Tyler achieved a miraculous milestone this past Sunday. The legendary rocker turned 75.

He was born Steven Victor Tallarico on March 26th, 1948 in New York City. Steven spent his early years in The Bronx and Yonkers, and his summers were spent in New Hampshire, where he met Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry.

Aerosmith have released 15 studio albums. Tyler has released one album, We're All Somebody from Somewhere, in 2016.

He was inducted inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, along with Aeorsmith. He and Perry inducted Led Zeppelin in 1995, and Tyler inducted AC/DC in 2003.

Steven Tyler has had his bouts with drug addiction, having recently gone into rehab last year. He and Joe Perry were known as the "Toxic Twins."

He's been married twice and has four children, including actress Liv Tyler.

Tyler spends much of his time in Hawaii, where in 2013 the Steven Tyler Act was introduced into the state legislature. The bill would give public figures the right to sue paparazzi for taking unwanted photographs. The bill cleared the Senate's judiciary committee, but it was never brought for a full vote by the Senate.

In 2015, he launched Janie's Fund, named after the Aerosmith song "Janie's Got a Gun," to assist girls who have gone through neglect and abuse.

Tyler had undisclosed health issues late last year, that resulted in Aerosmith canceling their Deuces are Wild Las Vegas residency.

Tyler once discussed his goals for Aerosmith. He said, "We're aspiring to some day be, you know, the lounge act on the Shuttle on the way to moon just so I can sing 'Dream On' upside down, which I actually have done in the '70s, but it's been a while, you know."
