Toto guitarist Steve Lukather is set to release his ninth album, ‘Bridges,’ on June 16th.
Lukather said, “I see it as a bridge between my solo music and Toto music. The fact that [Toto singer] Joseph Williams, [former Toto keyboardist] David Paich and I wrote most of the record, and the fact I invited many of the old Toto gang to come and play brings all this together.”
Toto is no longer recording, and he said, "This is as close as we will get. We still love writing and creating and recording together, and we will no doubt continue to work with each other on our respective solo works.”
Lukather has also released the first single, “When I See You Again,” which he wrote with Williams, Paich and former Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers drummer Stan Lynch, who also worked on Lukather’s first album back in 1989 and wrote several songs on Toto's 1995 album, Tambu.
