Aerosmith: New Recordings in the Attic?

With Aerosmith preparing to announce their first U.S. tour in eight years on Monday -- a 50th anniversary outing and possibly a farewell -- Joe Perry says there could be more music on the way.

Joe Perry on the possibility of Aerosmith recording new music. OC:...but we'll see. :32

"Steven [Tyler] and I have been talking about it and listening to the catalog and listening to the different versions of the different songs and we're kind of getting excited about kind of the way Jimmy Page has been going back and looking at the Led Zeppelin catalog and releasing some of the stuff that's never been released before. So we've been kind of focusing on that and at the same time every once in a while we look at each other and go, 'Hey, what do you think about getting in the studio again?' With so much stuff going on I won't say it'll never happen, but we'll see."

Aerosmith's last studio album was 2012's Music From Another Dimension.

In 2021 their catalog was acquired by Universal and their archival campaign started that same year with the release of The Road Starts Hear, a rehearsal or soundcheck recorded in 1971.

Perry will release a solo album, Sweetzerland Manifesto MKII, on May 26th.
