Sheryl Crow said she was "overwhelmed" by her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Crow posted a brief note for fans on her social media that read, "Can’t believe it! Congratulations to the Rock Hall class of 2023! I’m so honored!!"
Crow was already familiar with the Rock Hall. She performed at the opening concert in 1995 and helped induct Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt and Pat Benatar.
Crow did a brief interview with the Rock Hall where she called getting on her first nomination overwhelming.
She said, "To be in the Rock Hall with all these incredible names. And yeah, I've walked the halls of the Rock Hall and I was at the beginning concert. I got sing with Jackson Browne and Chrissie Hynde and I was a newbie. And Mellencamp and Johnny Cash were on it. And of course Bruce Springsteen and of course Chuck Berry as well. And to now to be inducted and to have my rock gear, my get-ups and my guitars in there it feels -- it's just overwhelming. It's incredible. I'm so honored."
