Boy George wants to lend his voice to a talking dinosaur in a new movie.
The Culture Club singer plays himself in ‘Arthur's Whiskey,’ which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month. He told Variety that he performs two songs, one of which really excited him.
George said, "When anyone asks me to sing 'Karma Chameleon,' my eyes roll back to the back of my head, bounce off my tonsils and come back again. I’m like, OK, whatever. But the good news is that we have another song in the film which is a new song, a beautiful song called 'Let Things Go.' So it balances itself out, because nostalgia is a racket."
George said he is confident he could take on more challenging roles. He also has some ideas if anyone in Hollywood is listening. He suggested, "I don’t know why I’m not the gay dinosaur in every [animated] movie, you know? The voice of the gay dinosaur should be me."
