Bryan Adams is the guest editor for the latest issue of ‘Classic Rock’ magazine, which features an interview he did with his friend Rod Stewart. Rod discussed his career, songwriting and his passion for model railroading.
Rod commented, “A man without a hobby is lost.” Stewart also takes his hobby on the road. He said, "I'd go into a hotel and they'd put a whole room aside for me -- table, everything I need. And I had two huge containers. All the stuff was unpacked and I'd build something for my model railroad and then I'd take it home."
Rod added, "There’s so much wasted time on the road if you haven’t got anything to do. What do you do? Go out shopping? I’ve got my model railroad to keep me warm... I can spend seven hours building something."
Bryan Adams has a love of photography. Adams said he doesn’t think of it so much as a hobby, but rather as another way to "continue to be creative. It’s not just about having a hobby, it’s about occupying your time with something that you love.”
Stewart and Adams are both currently on tour. Rod heads to Brazil on September 29th and Bryan is playing dates in Canada through Sunday.
