Heart, led by sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, will reunite for a special New Year's Eve show in their hometown of Seattle at the Climate Pledge Arena. The show will also feature Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening as the opening act.
This will be the first official Heart show since their 2019 tour, and it will give fans a preview of what's possibly to come in 2024, when the band is expected to release new music and tour again.
The reunion show comes after Nancy surprised Ann on stage during her solo concert on October 10th in Santa Rosa, California. The sisters performed their classic hit "Barracuda" together, which was captured on video and posted on YouTube.
Heart's last album was Beautiful Broken in 2016, which featured reworked versions of some of their older songs and a new track with Metallica's James Hetfield.
The Wilson sisters have had a rocky relationship since 2016, when Ann's husband, Dean Welter, was arrested for assaulting Nancy's teenage sons backstage during a Heart show in Seattle. He pleaded guilty to two lesser assault charges and avoided jail time.
In February 2021, Heart received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, but only Nancy attended the ceremony in Los Angeles. Ann said she was busy working on her new album, Another Door, which was released in October. She will resume her solo tour on November 28th in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Nancy is also working on a new album, Tomboy, which will consist of covers of songs written by male artists. She has not revealed the release date or the track list yet.
