Queen+Adam Lambert delivered another spectacular show in Dallas last week, with some special guests and surprises. The legendary rock band was joined on stage by the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, who danced along to the classic hit "Fat Bottomed Girls." This was not the first time that the cheerleaders performed with the band, as they also did so in 2019 at the same venue. That performance was captured on the band's 2020 album and video, Live Around the World.
The cheerleaders were not the only ones who made an appearance at the show. Guitarist Brian May also paid tribute to the Texas Rangers, who had just won the World Series. May wore a Rangers jersey on stage, showing his support for the local team. The crowd cheered as May rocked out with his signature guitar solos.
The band's drummer, Roger Taylor, spoke about the cheerleaders in an audio file that was shared online. He said, "There's a great line that Adam says -- 'Ain't no beauty queens in this locality.' And then he turns around and says, 'Well that's not really true, is it?' Yeah, there were 37 beauty queens in perfect synchronization, yeah. It was quite a sight from behind. No fat bottomed girls there. It's nice. It's great. Boy, they were fantastic."
Queen+Adam Lambert are currently on their Rhapsody Tour, which will continue until June 2024. The tour features songs from the band's extensive catalog, as well as some new material. The band is also working on a new studio album, which is expected to be released in 2025.
