Peter Frampton finally received the honor of being elected for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Frampton made a heartfelt call to his Nashville neighbor, Sheryl Crow, sharing the joyous news.
Crow, a recent inductee herself, had played a pivotal role in Frampton's nomination. During her own induction ceremony last year, she took a moment to highlight Frampton's absence from the Hall of Fame, a gesture that resonated with the music community and fans alike. "She was the one that invited me to play at her induction ceremony [last year] and I think it made a lot of people realize that I wasn't in the Hall of Fame. So, she managed to put me in front of everybody and said, 'Look, he's not in.' She actually said that," Frampton recalled.
The bond between the two artists is rooted in mutual admiration and inspiration. Crow expressed her elation on social media, reminiscing about how Frampton's performances with Humble Pie marked the beginning of her own musical journey. "He has inspired me all the way back to his days in Humble Pie. He was my first concert, and I am grateful for the inspiration that his live show gave me! Congrats Peter!!" she wrote on Instagram.
Frampton's induction will take place on October 19th at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, where he will be enshrined in the Rock Hall with Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, Cher, Mary J. Blige, Kool & the Gang, and A Tribe Called Quest.
