Mick Jagger and his girlfriend, Melanie Hamrick, continue to keep fans guessing about their relationship status. Despite Melanie being spotted with a diamond ring in June 2023, she clarified that they are not officially engaged. In an interview with People, Melanie explained, “I have to giggle because did Mick give me the ring? Yes. Is it for that finger? Yes… In my mind, it’s a promise ring. We’ll be immature and call it a promise ring.”
When asked about the possibility of marriage, Melanie expressed uncertainty, saying, "I don’t know. I’m kind of like, a live-in-the-moment type of person, so who knows…" She also emphasized the importance of privacy in their lives, stating, “If we didn’t have social media, then no one would know anything about your life. So I guess it’s, why don’t we keep it as it would be if there wasn’t social media and share the things that you want to share. I like that approach. I think what goes on in someone’s home is private.” Despite rumors of engagement, Melanie reiterated to Paris Match that they are happy as they are and not planning any changes.
Mick, 81, and Melanie, 37, have been together since 2014 and share an eight-year-old son, Deveraux. If they were to marry, it would be Mick's third marriage, following his unions with Bianca Pérez-Mora Macías from 1971 to 1980, and Jerry Hall from 1990 to 1999.
